    Hi,

Saw your comment and I am in the exact same position!!

I graduated with a business degree (specialising in marketing) and done about 7 months of internships in marketing agencies in Dublin.

I dont want to go over there and work in a bar. I want to get a proper job that will give me decent experience. However, I am afraid that I am going to struggle and the year will be a bit of a waste in term of job experience.

Have you had any more luck since you posted this?

Have you tried applying to one of the many European multinationals that offer graduate programs? For example Nestle's 'International Development Programme (IDP) - Marketing and Sales' just to mention one.

Working in Europe has a lot of advantages:
    - No visa issues
    - Your qualifications are known and recognised
    - A high standard of living
    - A very good work-life balance (OT is not expected or required)
    - Ireland is only a couple of hours away
    - Most international companies use English as the working language, although learning the local language is a good idea.

Have you guys thought about what way you're going to go about getting your visa? If you go with usit or go4less when you pay they send you an email with websites to try but those are basically just indeed.com and internships.com like so you can just google yourself accounting internships usa or refine it to the area you want to go to.

I just got back from doing the year visa and spent half my time in NYC and it was madness trying to even find one paid internship/job out of a bunch of 100 seriously. At one stage I was applying to anything vaguely associated with my degree.

It is going to be a struggle as I have never heard of anyone getting an interview and a job sorted before they headed off on the year long visa :( it sucks but if its what you want to do then I suggest going and trying your luck anyways
