    Are the jackets any good?
Last two evenings I had my waterproof jackets on and both are letting in water, one torn And the other I washed at too high temp and it melted the lining a bit :(

Most of these retain as much water inside.

Anyone recommend a set that won't leave you sweating like a pig?

I have a drytex jacket that is night and day different from my portwest, I'd be at the very sweaty end of the scale, but I can work away at pretty much anything in it, the only fault is I bought it to wear over another coat so it's a bit huge.

relatively cheap in the co-op too.

Drytex cheap last time I bought one it was €70 and after a short time it will leave in water.

Ive had the airflex coat and trousers from castle, would recommend them to any one

regards sweating in them, they are prob the best i have worn , as most others your legs are sweating etc.

I wear mine milking and wouldnt be without them now. Wouldnt wear them all day , and would try to avoid wearing them near briers and thorns etc.

We buy all our milking clothes, gloves, socks and wet gear from them serious quality.

I have leggings with bib and straps reinforced at groin and knees. Wear all spring. Washing machine every night really good. Their wet gear is waterproof.

Excellent detergent and teat dip also

Dont know if its me but have a gortex coat and pull ups lovely and light and grand in "damp" conditions but if your in heavy rain they both let damp patches in every where leaving you with a wet shoulder or thigh, and if they get dirty esp in round the milking parlour you cant machine wash or use soap to my knowledge leaving them smelly as fu@k:eek:

The marketing bluffers, would have is all believe, that gortex magically, keeps out 100% of water and rain, and at the same time, allows all your perspiration to escape!
FFS, your perspiration wouldn't escape 100% if you were balls naked!!

I've got Berghaus ones. Bought locally but can be got from eBay etc. They are unreal. Got a zip in the side too. I've used in all weather 100% dry. If its showery and warm zip down a bit to cool down. €60. Watch out for barbed wire....
