I have Ubuntu Server Install, I also installed the KDE Desktop package for the Server.

I went away and Installed Samba. I have Shared folders working on a Windows System. But i want my Ubuntu Server to act as a DHCP / Domain Controller for Linux Machines on my network. my Computer is getting to slow for a Windows Server..

DHCP and domain controlling are two very different things, dhcp is done by dhcpd and the domain controller functions can be carried out by Samba as you have already said. What have you done with either of these so far?

You will also need to give an idea of your networking setup and what you use to access the internet from this network to get more help.
