It'd probably be good to ring the campus accomodation services if you want information on student accommodation - if they recommend a place its probably where they're recommending to all the new incoming students. As far as people like you - its likely that there will be but its normally dependent on the course how far people are travelling and whether or not they're just going because that's what they;re friends are doing - try and join a society/club or two to get to know people if you're interested in the social side of college.

    Best of luck!

Hey there I am the same as you I have 400 points and only need 300 so I hope I can almost say I'll see you there! :D

I live in Tramore but from Tipperary so I won't know many people there either, but I have one friend that goes there who moved down from up the country, she made plenty of friends.

A lot of her friends are not from Waterford at all, just living there for college.

You'll have a great time and make loads of friends I'm sure of it :)

    Best of luck :)
