Are those spare blub kits you can buy in woodies tesco any good. They also come with spare fuses

Yeah, you can also get them in Lidl/Aldi. Before you buy, check your manual to see what bulbs are used for your car.

Wouldn't bother with them. I assemble my own spare bulb/fuse kits in these cheap little Tupperware-esque food containers you pick up in Dunnes and the like.

Look on www.aldi.ie and www.lidl.ie, if they're not there now they will be at some point.

Otherwise as jim said, just buy extras and keep in a small box in the glovebox or boot (that's what I do too).

Buy extra bulbs anyway, in case one blows out in the middle of the night on some road somewhere.
I have 2 main lightbulbs and two brake lightbulbs in a box in the boot. Better than driving around with a one-eyed car thinking "I'll get to it tomorrow".. Also you can give one to someone else if they need it. It's nice to be nice.
Any motor factors will have them fairly cheap.

I used to always keep the spare kit in both my cars. But, I've stopped that now given that I found I was only ever using 1 or 2 bulbs from the kit. So for me I found that it's cheaper to replace bulbs as I need them.

I tend to buy bulbs in pairs or sets, chances are the second one will blow not long after the first.
