Just taken delivery of a pair of these, ordered from planet-x. They were literally only taken out of the box to try them on, only to find they are marginally too big for me.

Stunning shoes though, I've placed an order for the next size down already...

I payed €124.49 but returning them to the UK is going to cost me about €15, so I'd be willing to let them go for €110, otherwise they will be posted off tomorrow morning.

Bought a pair given the recent discounts available on them, what a superb shoe. Might even jump for a second pair! This is of course of no use to you.

Sorry Colm - not trying to hijack your thread!

Just wondering if the concensus is that these are a smaller than normal fit - compared to for example shimano or sidi shoes?

I would think so, I am normally a 44 (in Mavic and Specialized shoes) and have these in a 43.5, even at that the toebox is very roomy and I probably could have used a 43.

Unusual for Italian cycling related gear!

Yeah I found them to be a bit on the large side, usually take a 47 in casual shoes and runners, 48 in formal shoes and all my cycling shoes are 48, but these in a 48 are just a touch too big, could probably get away with them but I opted to swap for a size down.

So the 48 R3's were a bit on the large side, packed them up, booked a collection with parcel2go for €20 to return them, feic it I thought, I'm already €145 deep now, what's another €25 to upgrade to the size 47 R1's....

So they arrived today, truly stunning looking shoe, but STILL that bit too big for me to be happy with.

Probably going to send them back and just request a full refund at this stage, don't want to go for a 46.5 and risk them still being too big, or go for a 46 and risk them being too small....I'll just stick to what I know and order a new pair of Bont A2's when my current ones give up on me!

So, any takers on a pair of white, size 47 Fizik R1's for €140 before I cough up another €20 to have these sent back?

Last 2 pairs of shoes I bought were from online retailers, both size 48 and both fit like a glove....or a shoe

Actually I think I might have been quick to jump to conclusions with the 47's, tried them on with summer cycling socks just now and they feel a bit better, winter socks would be snug, going to chance fitting cleats and taking them for a spin instead of returning them after all...
