Passat REversing switch/sensor

    Folks,
    i have a 3b3 2001 passat 1.9tdi manual. and cant find the reversing switch?
    can anyone give me directions to it?
    I have found two plugs on the gearbox on the offside - but i checked these and they are not for the reverse light,
    I also checked the bulbs and they are not blown.

    just noticed this should probably be in maintenance and repair if MODS want to move it?
