Maybe train or walk (depending on distance) up to Howth Junction to get a 17A up to Blanch. Not sure on its proximity to the IT.

Be warned though, its a hugely unreliable bus, takes me 40mins morning time to get from Howth junction to Santry, so you're looking at over an hour at least on a bus.

There's a one per day shuttle from Coolmine station apparently. You can also probably take the shuttle to Blanchardstown Corporate Park and walk back.

It would appear that Dart, Arrow, Shuttle bus would be the best option, but still pretty grim. It's an ugly commute make no mistake, or maybe I've been softened up too much by 7 years of driving :)

The shuttle bus to/from Coolmine operates far more frequently during term time - it was just cut back for the summer months.

The timetable and information is here:

It doesn't seem to bad of a commute. I live in baldoyle so could always get a fold up bike, dart from clongriffin to castleknock and cycle.

You're probably looking at best part of 1.5 hours each way.

By far the most direct way would be DART to Howth Junction and 17A bus to Blanchardstown, and walk from the National Aquatic Centre.

The DART doesn't go to Castleknock. You'd have to get off the DART at Connolly & pick up the Maynooth commuter train to Castleknock, which would make the commute even longer.

No matter which route you take OP it would be a long and tiring commute.

Nope, 5 minutes through Corduff I'd say. You usually see lots of students doing the same.

How long would that be in total?

I'd say its about an hour and 10 min cycle each way. Less with an electric bike.

Ironically Dundalk would probably be quicker and easier to get to from Sutton.

1h00-1h20 depending on where from, time of day and connections.
