I have an 07 honda civic with 53k miles up on it. I'm wondering what the timing belt interval is for this car - can't find the manual of course and getting conflicting answers searching google

AFAIK there is no timing belt on this civic.
    It's a chain driven engine.

    Diesel also have chain.

And I think 2.0 in type R also has chain, but I'm not 100% sure about it.

I did a bit of googling and it looks like that every 2006 - 2011 civic model has chain driven engine.
It applies to 1.4 petrol, 1.8 petrol, 2.0 petrol, 2.2 diesel, and 1.3 IMA (hybrid).

So OP can not have 07 model civic with timing belt.

It's a 1.4petrol. Thanks for the responses. Presume chain doesn't need to be changed at any stage?

Keep on top of the servicing and it shouldn't need changing any time soon,
