hi,i have a geniune interest in horse racing and go racing a lot.Im thinking about going to listowel this year but my 2 racing friends who enjoy racing due to work commitments are unable to make it until the friday. i want to head down for wednesday thurs & my friends will be down friday.anyhow,i don't want to be hanging out alone especially at night. I am a single lady in my 30s.

A gang of us go there annually on the Wednesday. You can have a few drinks with us at the races and indeed afterwards if you want. We usually stay the night.

thanks Finbarrk, id appreciate that. lets say it is grand to be a fella hanging out on yer own but a girl can look like a lost soul...or maybe i just dont feel comfortable just hanging out by myself at a racing festival! i have loads of friends but they are not able to go to listowel midweek or some have no interest in horse racing. i am a frequent race goer but would always have a friend or a group with me racing....
