    Hi,

Do they check the spare tyre in the Nct test ? Not 100% sure the tyre depth is ok.

    Cheers.

If you take it out they can't test it.
A spare tyre isn't a requirement for the NCT.

Thanks guys, Also about tyre depth i had a warning on my back tyre last year, is there any check I could do before the test or make my tyres improve condition example evening doing a cleaning of them?

You got a warning last year because your tyre was too worn and now you want to cheat the NCT by cutting the grooves deeper? My advice is hand back your driving license and car keys before you kill yourself or someone else.

Like use a butter knife make the lines deeper Lol or not filled with dirt. I have 3 good tyres.

If it's below the legal minimum tread depth then the only thing you can do is replace it with a tyre with deeper tread otherwise it's a fail and you're driving illegally. No other way around it.
Anything above the legal limit is a pass but the NCT will advise you that it's time to replace.
Even if it passes you shouldn't be driving on tyres which are near the minimum anyway as they have significantly reduced grip in wet weather.

Removing dirt isnt cheating, I was told they appear fine but you can never tell, just want to give myself a good chance

Removing dirt doesn't make tread depth any better. A worn tyre is a worn tyre!
If the tyre's wear indicators show the tyre is low then the only sure way to know the tyre is legal is to measure the depth properly with a tread gauge, appearances aren't reliable enough. Any tyre shop, garage will do it for you, or you can buy one yourself for a couple of €.

Your post, before you edited it, indicated that you were warned a year ago that it was near the limit and that you wanted to increase the thread depth using a butter knife. You either need a new tyre, a new means of transport or a new way of passing your evenings.
