Can someone point me in the direction of where i could get a replacement key for the locks on the PVC double glazed windows in my house. All windows can be locked with same key but unfortunately the end of the key snapped off. The lock is on the handle and is a push button type. Unfortunately I have locked 1 at the moment and cannot open it again until I get a new key. Are these generic or where would i get a replacement for it?

I’m not sure who made the windows for the house unfortunately so any suggestion other than contact the supplier would be great.

Any of the window suppliers should be able to help. If you cant get the broken part of the key out you may have to replace the locking handle.

Homebase supply the locking handles and could probably order keys if you dont get sorted elsewhere

Apparently if u screw off one of the handles and bring it to key cutting place they might have one to fit it. apparently there are prob only about 20-30 window keys in total.

If there is a number stamped on the bit of the key you still have, a locksmith may well be able to sort you out, got 12 keys from Lock Doctor last year

Well as the Lock is on the inside, I guess if you are using the Key, you have already overcome the Security System.;)

IF its in a bedroom replace it with a push button only handle as a locked window with no key is a fire hazard
