    Hi OP,

I'm sorry you are having a rough time. I know the feeling! Have you tried adverts.ie or similar places? Clothes that are New to you can be as good as any shopping spree when times are tough and there are often very cheap (sometimes free) clothes going on places like this. Good luck op.

Lots of free (and cheap) clothes being advertised on adverts.ie, particularly if you are female. Also you could try charity shops.

Is there anywhere at all in your budget you could cut out money? Even buying one item from penny's a month wouldn't be excessively expensive?

    Hi.

I'm in no way trying to rub it in here but if you're female I have a lot of clothes from size 8-10-12 that I was getting rid of, some with Tags still on them, and they wouldn't be cheap materials either.

If you're female then please let me know and I would be happy to offer them to you free of charge.

I'm around the Dublin area, feel free to PM me.

    Hi there OP,

I absolutely love charity shops and take so much more pleasure out of getting something pre loved than if it came from a lovely shop. I think that a lot of Irish people are like that, Anywho's I am Dublin based and have some lovely ( in my oppinion ) size 12 clothes that need a new owner -they range from suits to dresses - feel free to PM if it is of interest . Hold on tight OP things will get better for you and in the meantime check out Adverts or your local charity shop.

ps some of my best charity shop buys include a brown real leather rucksack that I picked up for 2 Euro, M&S suit for 5 Euro. Mrs. Quinn's charity shop now known as council for the blind also do * 2 euro days*

Remember Pre Loved is the new retro, Best of luck I am rooting for you

I agree with the above - sales, sales, sales & charity shop sales.

Our local Penny's has sales also, so it is possible to pick up trousers, for 3/4 euros at times.

Also - you need to be trolling the charity shops, to find the good stuff. Don't buy cheap brands in charity shops (i.e. Tesco, Penny's) that stuff is just as cheap initially.

Also look out for parish sales/sale of works/ type things. You will pick up things in there cheaper again.

I'm with the other posters OP, charity shops and Adverts.ie are great places to pick up some new stuff, I even bought my wedding dress off Adverts!

If you're on Adverts, you can even swap with people if you don't have the money to buy, swap those clothes that you're sick of wearing, you'll get a new wardrobe and all you'll have to pay is postage charges :)

Charity shops are your friend OP. You'd be surprised by what you can find. I was in one recently and found a new pair of red patent stilettos, a top from topshop and a dress from warehouse!

I have some clothes in my wardrobe that you might like, size 8-10/12. Send me a pm! :D

I'm based in Limerick BTW but can post

What's your clothes/shoe size? I have a few things I could send (size 14/16) and possibly some shoes too (size 7).

    Let me know. :D

Its against the charter to ask an OP to private message you.

OP, I'm going to see if I can move your thread to a more suitable forum which permits this. Can you leave it with me for a few mins while I check?

OP, I've checked the Fashion and Appearance Charter and this thread would not be suitable there either.
