    Hi
Please help me. I am on Jobseekers benefit and claim running out in 14 days. I have applied for Jobseekers allowance but don't know if I qualify , there website is very confusing.. Am I right can anyone tell me.
My hubby earns 420 after tax prsi etc.
according social welfare his means is 60 percent of this figure after you deducted 60 euros. that would be 216euors.
Our max payment on social with 2 kids is 372.40? so that would mean would /should get 150 euros perweek on allowance???. Very confused, first time claiming social welfare. Also applied for BTEA and will be short 5 days (same last year, had to give up course and go on jb).. Help I don't know If I would be qualified for JSA?? ANY ADVISE. ALSO HUBBY OUTSICK ON HIS STAMP AND DUE BACK TO WORK ON THE 8TH SEPT?SORRY THANKS:eek:

Its his gross earnings less prsi which is taken for means testing. At present due to the fact that he is on illness benefit you would certainly qualify for jsa, that is assuming he is only receiving illness benefit and not getting a top up from his employer,
but once he came off illness benefit his earnings would again be taken into account.

thanks. his not getting paid from work but due back in 2 weeks, his income is just under 410 a week after prsi etc.Just a pain waiting. Wanted to go back to college last year, got a place, and was a few days short for btea, told by swo to go on JSB and should be ok, cant believe what they say... Just annoyed after working for over 20 years and never once requesting any social welfare help getting no help to improve my chances of getting a job. Was even told by Social welfare officer that I would have been better off if I had never work and was on social since young..

Are you still short the time on jsb for btea???. You do know that this year if you have means assessed against you before you go on btea then these still apply if you are a new btea applicant. Again if you can give his gross less prsi only then I can do an approximate amount that you will receive on jsa ... presuming you dont have any property other than your ppr and that you dont have capital >€20000.
