    gentlemen,

fitted a new C&G cab to our MF 168 ~3yrs ago and subsequently rewired it after a fire developing under the dashboard, brother was driving at the time so no harm done

anyway, I need to fit a plug for rear trailer lights

where do I start doing the tie ins to the tractor electrics ?

Who fitted the cab for you? Did they wire the lights up? have a look and see where the rear lights from the mudguards come down along the mudguard and in along the axle to the chassis. How did he join the wires coming from the left and right mudguards before bringing up to the switches in the dash? Most trailers now use a small junction box and this would be the ideal here also. I'd wire my plug into this also. Keeps everything water tight. Failing that slip on a piece of heat shrink and solder joints together, then shrink the heat shrink sleeve over it. No b*llo*in with insulating tape please, not worth a w**k and you'I never have relaible lighting, especially on a tractor like that where those cabs wouldn't be completely watertight.

A Junction box like this is what you need around the seat/top link area ;) Easy wire a plug into
