Lord Mayor's 2-mile Summer Series, Raheny

    There are three races left in the Raheny Shamrock Summer Series. All the races are two miles, so anyone looking for a fast, flat course to test their speed might like to try them out.

    The races are €7 each, and there are prizes for the first 3 men and women, and the first finisher in each age category. There's tea, coffee, biscuits and chat in the clubhouse after each race. The remaining races are on Tuesday 20th & 27th Aug and Tuesday 3 Sep 2013.

    Sign up is in the Raheny clubhouse from 7.15, and the race starts about 5 minutes walk away at 8pm.

    All welcome - there's a big range of finishing times, from just over ten minutes down to 18 or 19 minutes, so the races are for everyone.

    This 2-mile race is on tomorrow night. For anyone who knows Raheny, sign up is in the clubhouse (opposite the modern church in Rahney, in behind the scouts' clubhouse) and the race is two laps of Wade's Avenue / All Saints, just about 5 mins walk from registration.
