Views on internal cabling on road bike?

I'm feeling the need to upgrade my frame, which is probably misguided, obviously. My current frame has internal cabling for the back brake through he top tube only, which was awkward to change but not that difficult. What are people's opinions and experiences of cable maintenance with all internal cables for derailleurs…
