Indicator fuse keeps blowing

I have a problem with my pickup.

I have a 20 amp fuse that keeps blowing to the indicators, this seems to be linked to heavy braking.

Fuses keep blowing even after 15-20 minutes driving, sometimes they are fine for days.

How would I even begin to troubleshoot this? I have a multimeter.

You have a lead somewhere shorting the circuit. Probably over time the insulation chafed off and now in some conditions touch metal.

Trace the indicator wiring and inspect. Particularly look at places where the loom can move when braking. Inner wings is a good place to start. Also the rear of the tub as it is a pick up.

Pick up a whole bunch of cheap low resistance fuses, you will use a good few when looking for the problem...
