Radials have a much more sophisticated construction and are much more flexible, so provided tyre pressures are set correctly, give a better ride, reduce fuel consumption, and reduce soil compaction.

    Crossplys are tough!

Size for size, radials will be more expensive than crossplys.

In what situation would u use crossplys instead of radials?

I suppose they would be cheaper for a tractor that is just knocking around the yard and fields . Both will get cut on a sharp stone or piece of steel poking out of a gap though

Mick King, 087 6899772, up on the Leitrim, Cavan, Fermanagh border. Good enough range of part worn tyres, tractors, jeeps ,tankers etc. Had a few deals with him, sound.

    very few.

i might consider crossply for a sprayer where i did not care about compacting tram lines as the cross ply will not bulge like a radial into the crop.

not worth expense of radial for a dumper/forklift working on a site imo.
