    FS: Giant Bowery

Giant Bowery 2008 for sale. Medium size frame.
    http://www.giant-bicycles.com/en-us/bikes/lifestyle/1274/29363/#overview

Purchased new in early 2009 and used for commuting around Dublin since then. Frame is fine and only has marks and scratches that come from 4 years of commuting. Comes with Gatorskin 28mm tyres with clip on SKS mudguards and Ashima Ultralight 3 brake blocks, Cateye LED lights.

Chain is a bit rusty so needs a good clean/replacement. Not selling with pedals. If you’re really stuck I can see if I have a spare pair of pedals lying around.

    I will post pictures later.

    Looking for €170ono

Absolute bargain, I'd snap it up if it was a larger frame. Best of luck with the sale.

    Hey,

What sort of brakes and levers? Interuptors?

    Is it a flip/flop hub?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 148 ✭✭The Machine

Brake levers are the same as the ones that came with the bike - they look like un-branded Tektro ones.

The hub is flip flop. It spent most of it's life in fixed mode but is currently set up to freewheel.

    Picture attached.

What height are you and what range would it be suitable for?

Ah, I was thinking it might be a good cheap starter for Mrs Rollingscone but drop levers terrify her for some irrational reason. But given the fixed gear styling I thought it might have interrupter levers.

I'd agree that it's a nice looking bike for the price though.

Medium is recommended for heights of 5'7 to 5'10.

€120 offered pending a viewing of the bike. Would it suit me? I'm just under 6'0.

Crap just seen your above post. My interest is withdrawn as its too small.

My non boards friend is interested if the deal falls through.

Picked it up last night, looks like a solid deal with pedals and lights thrown in:) I keep trying to change gear though. If anyone has a shorter stem to swap for the one that's on it, that would be great:)
