anyone who's actualy had these tyres care to offer an honest opinion? need some new shoes for the jag and these were offered to me at very handy money, now i'm not a "sporting" driver (got a bike for hooning!) so i'm wondering if these would be a credible budget tyre, the reviews on line are ok

They're m+s yes? I'm looking at a set outside my window with similar thread :pac:

The set here wore down well, but were crap in the wet. My advice is look for something better

Nankang NS20 seem to be regarded as one of the better of the cheap budget tires, but tbh if it was me Id want something better than the best of the bad lot!

I've had Nankang NS2 tyres on my car before and I'd recommend them.

I haven't tried NS20 tyres but based on my experience with the NS2's I'd have no problem trying them.

What size does your car take?

When I started buying tyres Nankang we the cheapest new tyres you could get. They were also rightly regarded as the worst tyre you could fit when analysing most aspects applicable to tyres.

The fact that Nankangs are now regarded as one of the better budget tyres due to the advent of Chinese tyres is akin to regarding the black plague a nicer disease because there's another that kills you slightly quicker.

Have you actually tried Nankang tyres recently? Companies generally develop and improve their products over time...

The Nankang NS20 is the predecessor to the NS-2, they are a good tyre compared to all the other tyre brands in the budget range.

I would give them 6/10 for performance, keep in mind though if you have branded tyres on your jag e.g Michelin etc these will feel like crap in comparison to them. They're ok, not great.
