I have removed the sat input to this sky box in attic. It had been providing free to air to 3 bedrooms. I don't need any tv in one bedroom now I have disconnect the cable from this box to that bedroom.
In kids room there is terrestrial working and cable from this box is in kids room too ... He doesn't watch anything ( for now) other than rte ( Simpsons !) he will want free to air in future in sure. I left cable there unconnected in his room.

NOW .. The problem ... In main bedroom I had saorview box and red eye connection ( from sky box in attic) for free to air. I connected the sky box input to a cable and joined it and connected it to the new walker combo I have in main bedroom and with the aerial connection that was on saorview box I have it all set up and working fine but .. When I switch off power to the sky box in attic I lose the terrestrial stations in main bedroom. With no effect on sat free!
Obviously the cable guy had it wired up so that other tvs upstairs would work I don't need it plugged in up there now .. Any suggestions how to remedy this problem!?

Also see photos I wonder do I need all these boxes! I know one is a booster for aerial for Irish stations not sure about the rest! Sine of the cabling is intertwined with downstairs tvs / boxes to make it more confusing !!!
    Cheers

    Paddy

Can't add photos will post on next post Thks

The Sky box doesn't seem to be providing power for a distribution amplifier, so you should be able to remove it altogether.

Cable D is aerial in, E & F are RF-outs & would be carrying the aerial signal along with the Sky box channel.

The white box is probably a power supply for an amplifier: you'll need to get a clearer picture or post what is written on it.

Thanks will be back up there this evening I am sure I can probably join cables going into sky box or something to carry the terrestrial signal through to the main bedroom tv... Your right there is an amplifier there I recall the signal was not really sufficient with all tv s connected maybe its not needed ! For now if I get the sky box out I will be happy .. When I unplug power I have no terrestrial at main bedroom tv ... The kids tv doesn't seem to be affected only the main tv....
Will update later ... Ps with the sky box gone ... Can a feed (out) be taken from a walker combo ? For free to air ? Thinking of young lad room ... Have an old free to air box somewhere anyway if not ..
    Thks for quick reply

The white amplifier or PSU would appear to have 1 'in' & 2 'outs', presumably with 1 of these feeding the Sky box aerial-in & the other feeding tvs directly.

The Walker box doesn't have an RF-out like the Sky box & would need a separate modulator. You'd be better off just running another satellite feed to the Sky box where it is, or moving it to the kids' tv (or use the other FTA box you mention).
