    Hi All,
A question for those of you that may have experienced the following, I had a car accident a few months ago, the other partys' insurance company are paying my medical expenses, I settled the car damages with the insurance company. But am now thinking of putting through a personal claim as I am off work & am housebound as a result of the accident, the insurance company has said I can claim from them directly, or put a claim through a solicitor or use the injuries board. Has anyone any experience of dealing with the above issues.

    Thanks

I've got plenty thanks but as you don't I would SERIOUSLY suggest that you make an appointment with a Solicitor and intimate your injury claim via them. They will serve your best interests and remove all the hassle from the process for you.

I'd tend to agree with MugMugs... been there, gone through same experience. Insurance company want to deal directly with you on the basis that they will hope to get out of it cheaper.

The fact your are still house bound and symptomatic is not good. The reality is any claim can't effectively be settled until you are either recovered or there is certainty around long term prognosis. Settling before either those 2 is a gamble... feel free to PM me... been there, got the t-shirt and mug
