Have to say, I'm getting very fed up with UPC for TV. We're paying over the odds for an inferior service in terms of the picture quality and number of channels and now this!

we can get it, we just have to pay for it.

PS sky is available for all in the crescent!!

eircom engineers were down in the Wood yesterday working on the cab - they mentioned it'll be a few weeks when all is live - there'll be TV provided as part of their quad-play services (broadband, phone, TV and mobile).

You sure? The system used in Charlesland doesn't support HD channels, on-demand, or anything over 30Mbps broadband. Don't think it can deliver 19 HD channels and 100 Mbps in that case.

I think we can get it via broadband but not in HD

This is it, UPC are becoming less attractive in this area the more time goes on.

... and as you know F1 is a must!

    F1 2013: BBC HD (Freesat) + UPC's Setanta Ireland = happiness.
    F1 2014: not looking so good :(

Iv'e got the ball rolling, I'm looking at sky for TV.

We are on a substandard network compared to the cable customers and we are expected to pay the same.

Vote with your wallet and move.

I'd like to keep the BB though....

"Looks like this isn't coming anytime soon to Charlesland".. end quote form UPC representative today. Neglected by the fibre power network yet again. They might want to change their corporate line for this area.
Time to vote with the wallet and move to Sky (and dreaded ugly dish)
