Slurry - Why does it sour grass?

    Anyone got any idea as to why it sours grass?
    Typical NPK ratio is 3-5-38, so is it the high K? If that was the case, could you spread bagged fertiliser to get closer to an overall ratio more like, say 10 -10 -20.

    there are plenty of minerals in your dung too, including sodium chloride (salt), but i think i would prefer to but salt on my dinner than that!

    it wasn't the NPK that soured it, it was the rest of it...
