All for the original €5 clubcard voucher!

    Hi slegs
Where does it confirm that the double credit applies? Was looking at terms here and didn't spot it?

Its a normal topup once you get the clubcard voucher converted to the Tesco Mobile topup code for the credit. So once you topup the €15 you get the benefits that a €15 cash topup would give

If it is true then its a great deal. For a €5 Tesco Voucher you'd get:
150 mins calls (€30 call credit)
    Unlimited texts

.... and presumably for a €10 Tesco Voucher you'd get:
300 mins calls (€60 call credit)
    Unlimited texts
    Unlimited data (15Gb)

Since this is not mentioned anywhere in the site and t&c, not sure if the double credit applies, especially that the way of top up is difference since you need to send a specific sms etc.

Any one who tried it can confirm that they got double credit for it?

Tescomobile reps in boards just confirmed this!

    I think it's a great offer.

Thanks, OP. I didn't spot that one at all in my latest mailing.

I have TESCO vouchers going way back as I don't find their deals very useful (except maybe the ferries) - this will be a perfect way of using them up!

Basically free phone for me. Now to convince Herself to switch - she's been paying top whack to Vodafone for years, they haven't upgraded her iPhone since iphone2, and got stung with a big bill from her Australia trip despite having "passport" turned on. Their coverage may be better (though roll on the 3/O2 merger) but their charges are just too high eg. 50c a minute for France??

I have triple credit with Tesco. So if I use a €5 clubcard voucher I end up with €45 credit in total (€15 credit plus €30 top up bonus)? Or a €10 voucher will give me the €30 calls/texts/data monthly package.

    Should be that
Triple Credit is awarded on every topup of €10 or more. For example, triple credit means that the customer receives €20 in Bonus credit for each €10 topup made giving €30 in total credit. http://www.tescomobile.ie/terms/tcs-triple-credit.aspx

Yip. A Tesco Mobile rep has confirmed this on the Tesco Mobile forum. Therefore for a €5 clubcard voucher I will get €45 in credit, €30 of it valid for just 30 days but the €15 top-up keeps going until used up. Plus the €15 top-up gives you free texts. Tesco Mobile were already one of the cheaper PAYG operators with a 20c/minute standard call rate (compared with up to 35c on others), 2c/Mb for data and 1c/minute landline calls to the UK and a host of other countries. So a nominal up to 225 minutes of standard rate calls (outside of other Tesco Mobile phones which are already free) for the €5 clubcard voucher (which you did not pay for in the first place) or 2.2c/minute!

    Thats just mad Ted!! :)

Bargain Alert of the Year to date I reckon.

Yep, I'm on the Triple Credit for Life offer too, so this could be brilliant.

In fairness to Tesco (and their reps that help out on boards) they are a dream after years with Vodafone. Even their customer service would pee all over anyone else I've had to deal with. Hats off to yiz!

Credit where it's due (ba-dum tish!!!!) :pac:

I concur on the customer support which either on the phone or on their forum is prompt and excellent. And is also great to see that they are making profits despite being among the cheapest operators. In contrast 3 (which is a network operator as well) have been making massive losses since they started and had to buy o2 to keep the investment making sense.

Just to note, the top-up must be applied within six months or it expires.

Now, how am I going to use my €45 bonus credit?

Yes, but you only redeem your Clubcard Deals voucher when you are ready to convert to the Tesco Mobile credit. The Deals vouchers last way longer than 6 months.

They even re-issued my one's that went out of date. Gave them another two years of life not that they need that now as I know where they'll be spent now.

if I have €18 clubcard voucher can I get 3 seperate topups with it and €3 change or do I have to top up with the €15 x 3 all in one go.

Is there a way to split vouchers because the bonus credit would be wasted after a month if you got €45 of it.
Instead better off to top up €15 a month and get €15 bonus credit for 3 months.

So can a CC voucher over the value of €5 be split?

It depends in what values the vouchers are in. If you can add individual vouchers up to a fiver then you get the €5 credit code. If they come to over a fiver the balance is added to your next statement i.e. if you have 3 x €2 vouchers the spare €1 will be added to your next statement etc.

    Thanks.
Should be able to have free phone calls for the whole family with what we spend in tesco

    Loving this deal.
I get €15 credit & €30 bonus credit all for a €5 Clubcard voucher.. on the triple credit plan.

What I have done (because I have about €60 in unspent vouchers) is get a €10 voucher which translates into a €30 top-up and because I topped up once by €25 in the 15GB of data free offer period I get in total €30 top-up credit, €60 bonus credit, 15GB of data and 5000 texts for a €10 voucher!!

I'm using my credit mostly to buy data on TM (which is by far the cheapest) and am making a lot of calls using Nimbuzzout for cheap landline/mobile calls.

My mam is abusing the 1c/minute calls to the UK goodo as well..............

If I redeem €6 and €4.50 in Clubcard Vouchers, I can get €30 value in topup and credit and 50c back on next statement. Can I then apply €15 topup tomorrow when my current mins expire and €15 in a month's time? or would I have to apply all €30 topup in one go?

If you get the vouchers online you will get 1 × 30 euro voucher, if you call them they can issue you 2 × 15 euro vouchers. Use one now and keep the second one until next month.

The listed number for Clubcard Boost is 00800 00 59 16 88. Can't reach that from my mobile. Tried saynoto1890 for an alternative but found nothing suitable, just local numbers for stores.

EDITED TO ADD: Found number for Tesco - 01-2808441. Quickly dealt with by L, who had no problem issuing three separate voucher top-up codes for one €15 voucher.

    Thanks gerard2210

If you opt in to the new prepay plan with a €5 voucher you can convert that into a €15 top-up which gives you free calls for 30 days, up to 200 webtexts if you have the app and 10GB of Data.

Thanks kn. I'm already in that plan. It was why I switched from three. Only later did I realize the added benefit
of being able to top-up every month for only €5 of clubcard vouchers.

Wha? Mobile top-up is the best value use of clubcard vouchers. I thought you were a bargain hunter!

Obviously I still have a lot to learn.

Webtexts no go for me, as no app for Windows phone.

Yes. Obviously a voucher is single use, so they will not be able to use the voucher themselves.

Once you have the code I imagine it does not matter whose phone its used on.

I think you can do it albeit more longwinded way by logging in using your browser.
