Interested in Roller Derby? Here's your chance to get involved! Waterford Viqueens are recruiting skaters, refs and NSOs and will be starting a 12-week freshmeat program this September. You don't need to have any previous skating experience; we'll be teaching you everything you need to know! Men and women are both welcome, ages 18+.

We will be holding an open day on Saturday 24th August where you can come along and find out more. We'll be giving you an introduction to the sport of roller derby and all the information you need to get started. You'll also be able to try on an array of gear to see what sizes fit you best, and we can answer any other questions you might have.

As spaces on our freshmeat course are limited this event will be INVITE ONLY, so let us know you want to come by registering your interest now! Either message our Facebook page or email waterfordcityviqueens@gmail.com. (If you can't make it to the open day on August 24th but are still interested, contact us anyway to make other arrangements!)

Hi all, just bumping this thread as we're having a second information session on Wednesday 11th September from 6:30 - 8pm in the Cill Barra Sports Centre... This is the last chance to get involved in the 12-week freshmeat program that's starting this September. You don't need to have any previous skating experience; we'll be teaching you everything you need to know! As well as skaters, we are also recruiting referees and non-skating officials so there are lots of ways to get involved.

At the information night we'll be giving you an introduction to the sport of roller derby and all the information you need to begin our freshmeat course. You'll also be able to try on an array of gear to see what sizes fit you best, and we can answer any other questions you might have.

As there are limited places on the freshmeat course, once again this open evening will be invite only, so let us know you want to come by registering your interest now! Either message the Facebook page or email waterfordcityviqueens@gmail.com. You will be able to secure a place on the freshmeat course by paying a €30 deposit on the night.

Hope to see you all there :-)
