    HI Lads

Does anyone have any experience with the Silver edition water-blocks, are they worth investing in and do they reduce temps by as much as they claim?

These kind of threads (short, easy enough question, not much info) are better suited to the off topic thread. Your more likely to get an answer here anyway.

Nope as silver is only 7% better at conducting heat than copper esp. when nickel plating is involed which conducts heat at a quarter of the ablity of both

when you consider the difference between Copper and Nickel in waterblocks is minimal, nickel plated or even bare silver isnt going to do anything

Thanks for the informative answer, very helpful. My current Water-block is the ek-supremacy nickel would it be worth upgrading to a Silver Edition>?

no you wont see a temp difference of more than a degree or 2. nickel vs silver in cooling terms means nothing between -200 and +250 and isnt worth the cost even outside of that range
