Alternative to An Post (wont let me post my nexus 7 to the uk)

An post wouldn't let me post my tablet to the uk due to battery restrictions

Can anybody recommend a few alternatives?

I would go to http://www.parcel2go.com/ie and see what they quote and than go to the providers webpage to see if they deal directly with end customers and what they charge.

Reason I'm saying that is that for example parcel2go charges VAT on top of the price they get from for example GLS which already includes VAT, I found that going to GLS directly is sometimes cheaper than parcel2go, same for fastway via http://www.postplus.ie/. Sometimes parcel2go is cheaper than direct provider, so always shop around.

That is a relevant point, but GLS only using trucks to the UK and Europe.
