Heading to China shortly for 10months and wondering if my Irish CI license will allow me compete over there or if there are forms I need to fill out in advance?

Your CI licence will be recognised over there, but you will need to get one with a photo - just e-mail them at CI who will also issue you with a letter confirming your eligibilty to compete outside of Ireland. Any races should be governed by the Chinese UCI-affiliated federation

PMcQ will sort you out. He's big in Asia.

Dropped into them today and as Beasty mentioned I can get an International license with my photo on it for remainder of this yr. Next year I'll have to get a Chinese license. Pretty sure I'll be getting some strange looks when presenting this at races in Ireland when I get back.

but, in all seriousness, is that correct in light of what Pat has done. He has categorically said you can be a member of any federation so why cant you be a member of Ireland next year.
