I'd like to see it in person. Looks ok'ish in the photo's.

Those new 1.6 diesel Civics are tempting, if i could afford a new car i might buy one!

And it's better looking than the Ssangyong Rodius!

To be honest even a crashed mk1 Astra still looks better than the Rodius.

If one of those is behind me I can't help but speed up to 'escape'.

I just placed a order or one of these today... same colour as the one in the Vid.. trading down/up? from a 2009 ex accord 2.2 diesel..

Loved the accord, but found it just a little pricey to run..

Went for the sport model so loosing out on my leather/heated seats and sunroof but otherwise the spec is decent.. no sat nav or 6 cd changer but can probably live withouth those

I drove the 1.6 diesel standard civic on saturday and was impressed. It wasnt as much a step down in power from the Accord i expected.

Brought her for a 40 minute minute test drive around back roads, city driving and motorway. The civic is obviousy lighter on the motorway and you could feel that above 120 but otherwise pickup is good, gearbox is smooth and drives pretty much like every honda I've owned.

The Tourer has much better headroom in the back than the standard civic hatch and the boot is huge. If the mpg figures stack up then i should see at least a 1/3rd improvement in consumption figures, saving of 210 on tax, and insurance is working out 110 cheaper per year..

Seems like a winner but time will tell.. i have really really enjoyed the Accord.. Cheers,
    Mick

Congrats on the new car - out of interest, what's the cost to change? Do you believe it will save you money once depreciation is taken into account?

So you're spending 11k to save ~€800/year? :pac:

Seems that the boot space record held in high esteem by boardsies is beaten here... 624 litres with the cover on beats the Octavia!

    My eyes...my eyes are bleeding!

Seriously, I'd start considering a Transit Connect if boot space was SO important to me :)

its actually not as bad in real life :) i think it kinda looks better than the hatchback.. and apart from the boot space the headroom in the back is much better than the hatch..
