ok so i recently got a famas and found out that it is using an extended cylinder like the one in the v7 gearbox. i also found out that guns with extended cylinders are generally used for longer barrels as they have a bigger volume of air. but if the sector gear has the same amount of teeth as a regular one and so does the piston wouldnt that mean that the piston is being pulled back the same distance as in a regular cylinder??? if this is true then the extra length of the cylinder is just a waste of space as the piston isnt going back that far. can anyone clear this up?
