Have you had it long? Could be diesel, maybe injectors or turbo can cause smoke. What colour is the smoke blue or black?

If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.

Do you look after it? Blue smoke? White smoke? Grey smoke? Black smoke? Mix of them?

Whats the airfilter like? if they get old they restrict flow and cause black smoke under load.

Black smoke is unburnt diesel, maybe hoover out or change the air filter first, then check injectors and pump.
