    Hi,

I am about to hire a childminder in my own home. I understand it is my responsibility to look after the tax affairs. I want to pay net 100 eur a day (almost 10 eur an hour) but I want to find out what the gross cost will be to me to offer this salary?

Can anyone give me a guidance as to what the cost would be? Thanks

It depends on who you hire, if they are single or married will affect their tax credits and cut-off. You should always agree a gross pay amount so that you will not have to pay extra tax if they have low credits and cut off. For a single person with standard credit and cut off, the gross annual pay for net 400 a week would be approx 24k per annum. You would have to employers prsi of 10.75% on top of this.
