I am looking to buy a small portable amp for an acoustic guitar without spending a fortune. Any suggestions on what kind and where to find one.
Can they be got secondhand ??

    ANYTHING can be got secondhand.....

I got my Marshall AS50R used and it's WONDERFUL!

works well as a small PA as well as an acoustic amp with several input options.

    Agree with Martin

Picked one up only last week on Adverts after trying a few options and the AS50R is excellent. There is a more recent version (AS 50D) with expanded digital effects but the 50R fine for my purposes and ideal for small gigs with microphone. One thing to note though is an added feature of the 50D is phantom power which is worth bearing in mind if you plan on using condenser mics.

These are also sold under the mega ac60r and fame brand. Same amp AFAIK.

    Great little acoustic amp.
