Tranferring data from 7.8 to 8

    Will be going from a Lumia 800 to a 925 in a few weeks, is there an easy way to transfer over my texts etc?

    I'm afraid your texts won't go over.. They introduced text-saving with WP8, but not unfortunately with any of the old versions of 7. So when you move from one WP8 phone to another you'll be alright.

    there's also the save data foe your games and apps - check within the app to see if there's a SkyDrive backup option, many of my most used apps (Passwords, TV Show, VGBC8, whatsapp etc) have this.

    the one thing windows phone does really well is your contacts though - everything is synced to your account.

    Balls, that's really annoying. Maybe some 3rd party app could help.
