100ml rule suspended in Shannon

    Last time I flew out of Shannon (mid July) security were testing a new machine that permitted them to allow me take a standard 330ml bottle of water thru security. I took a bottle that someone else had discarded just to test the system. I was told that bottles of any size were OK provided they contained either water or baby stuff (milk?).
    Anyone see this elsewhere ?

    I would love this to be rolled out over the country! I hate paying airport prices!

    bit confusst... sarcasm is usually saying the opposite of what you mean, I actually do hate paying airport prices for water, which I can fill from the filter at home...:o

    Ah I see, kinda hard to gauge sarcasm from the comfort of your laptop! I'd love it to be rolled out to perfumes etc too, but I know that's not gonna happen :/

    AFAIK the Eu is waiting on a report from the US TSA before going ahead with the plan. The TSA is expected is remove the current restrictions by the end of 2013.
