Where to store a bike, while living on campus

Living on campus next year, want to bring my road bike up. Anyone know if it's safe to keep in the bike racks overnight or if it would be best to keep it in the apartment? Living on campus, room in the apartment will be limited enough without the bike in my room. Any advice would be appreciated.

Stick up two brackets and before you leave at the end of the year take the brackets off and fill the holes. I plan on bringing my road bike to college when I'm commuting as well, very wary about the places available to lock bikes!

From experience - it is not safe to leave your bike out on campus locked overnight.

Not much room in the apartments, rooms are quite small. Might just store it at a friend's house off campus, I've seen a few road bikes locked at the racks beside iontas during the day, long as they're not there overnight, could be okay.

I lived in Village this year and River last year and had my road bike in my room each time. It really isn't that bad at all, particularly in River. I kept mine in my room usually but in River I left it in the hot press sometimes. I had good room-mates so I never needed to lock it either.

Bit of a squeeze in Village all right but if your ever staying up for the weekends you can just land it in one of your other room-mates rooms!

You just get used to having it in the room after a while. It's getting it up and down the stairs with the key card etc. is the hard part !

Ya, I'm in village next year. Would be fine if I could take out the desk, probably just leave it in the kitchen if I'm staying over the weekend. Ya I'm sure it'll work out fine, long as I don't muck the place up with it.
