Advice on looking at garage car.

    Hi all, am going looking at a car on Monday or Tuesday in a reputable garage.Just wondering what are the few most important questions to ask re car,it's a second hand Skoda Octavia,saw it on donedeal,says has full service history,correct mileage,etc etc.
    Would be trading a good clean VW car that has had main dealer services until last year when I started to get it serviced by local mechanic...(main dealer services too bloody dear:) ).are Garage likely to try and beat down value of my car as it hasn't always been serviced by main dealer?
    Really appreciate any relevant advice.

    OP ask the dealer if they know who you are and turn amazed when they don't. I nearly missed out on selling a civic standing me 6k to bonos brother at a massive loss but by god what an opportunity I had to meet all the hewsons!
