Buying 2011 5 series

As regards 2nd hand garages prices what time of year is best to buy, when does the depreciation apply? So I've been looking at 2011 msport 5 series 520d and they seem to have been around €37k in Dublin the past 6 months - when will these drop a few k? In a year say they might go for €30k but wondering how that depreciation applies - gradually over the 12 months or is there a period in the year when it's best to buy?

I'm considering going to UK as same cars seem about €33k.

Any suggestions on purchasing this car? Looking for <30k km, grey/silver/black with black leather and sports auto and pro sat nav.

19" alloys/privacy glass would be nice but not essential - more concerned with service history and condition.

BMW premium selection seem to offer 2 years warranty which is good, only problem in Dublin is getting the pro sat nav and prices seem a bit higher than UK.

Looking to get in Oct-Dec but would wait 6 months if I thought I could save a few grand.

Also has anyone had this remapped yet to 200bhp? Think BMW do it themselves but costs over a grand.

The revenue VRT site gives on the market prices they use for imports and is a good guide for 2nd hand prices. It is unbiased and free. Motor check will give a VRT estimate if you have the UK registration number. Also free.

Don't think the F10 can be remapped using conventional methods as it has a protected ECU. Your best bet is get a tuning box.

Regarding used prices, well generally they tend to drop later in the year but it really depends on the car in question. F10 M Sports are not that common and high spec ones tend to be in demand so used prices stay strong. You would probably have a wider choice in the UK of what you specifically want.

tuning boxes are muck..I'd prefer to do without.

Yeah, I don't think a remap as such is possible yet.
44tuning.pl, a Polish company based in Poland has some sort of a powerbox (claim it's better than that anyway) and can up the power up to 215hp.

//edit: Wow, incredible how Google Translate has improved over years. The text now actually makes sense.
