Have a 1992 with a shuttle, which is only job for a loader, and one gearstick to your right, with all on it.
think any earlier and you would have the sticks on the floor, between your legs.
    no joystick unfortunately.. lol

Some of the older 3 series Massey have gear sticks on the floor similar to 165, 265 etc, however the majority of post 1990 models have a manual shuttle to the left of the steering wheel and 1 gear stick on the right hand side of the cab.

As with a previous poster, I'd recommend going for the shuttle model if you want a loader

Most MF 3 series only have two spool valves, so can't easily operate a 3rd service off them.

A joystick control generally comes with the loader and not the tractor - so you'd buy a loader with joystick control and fit it to the tractor. This operates separately to the two spool valves.

Expect to pay €2.5 to €3.5k fitted for say a 10 yr old quicke in decent condition. You could probably pick up a decent tanco operating from the spool valves for €1k - €2k.

You'll see loads up on done deal as we get closer to winter.

    We've had 3 300 series massey's.

one with 3 gear leavers on the floor / no shuttle. (12x4 gearbox)
one with 2 gear leavers on the floor and a shuttle. (8x8 gearbox)
and most recent one having shuttle and single gear leaver to the right. (12x12 gearbox)

As for joystick, option with loader as mentioned already.
spool valves are modular and 3rd service is added quite easily.

or alternatively place electronic spool on loader and add a button to second service leaver to switch between 2nd/3rd service (simples ;))

Those 8x8 boxes are rare enough, a 362 or smaller was it?

No it was a 390. We replaced it with 390T with 12x12 box and we still have a 365 with 12x4 box.
