Great price for a balance bike (lots of the others I've been looking at are wooden) at just under €30: http://www.wiggle.co.uk/wiggle-anlen-kids-balance-bike-with-brake/

P.S. If you are a first time customer and spend over £50 using a referral email you get a free set of the following shades http://www.wiggle.co.uk/dhb-pro-triple-lens-sunglasses/

The referrer gets a voucher back to the value of 10% of your first order - I signed up via a colleague in work this way - the shades are good quality and perfect for running/cycling. We aren't allowed post referral links etc here but if you drop me a PM with your email I'll happily send you a referral invite :p

How much is the delivery to Ireland ?
It says standard delivery is free but I assume this is just within UK ?

Have either of ye got this one ? Thinking of getting it for 3 year old boy

Torn as to whether to get this or not.

Going by the reviews, it'll be too big for my (just) 2 year old. My 4.5 year old is getting to the stage of taking off the stabilisers, so maybe it'd suit him better?
    Dunno.

    Go for it.
We got a balance bike for our 2 year old girl but it was too big for her, her 4 year old brother is using it now and he loves it (he calls it his speedy bike) and his balance has really improved. When he graduates to no stabalisers on his big bike, his sister will be old enough to use it

Does it not jump to €34.50 for anyone else?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 87 ✭✭Smurphy

it selects Priority Delivery by default and this costs 5.50.
You need to look over the left hand side and select Free Delivery and the price goes back to 29.68

Yep, the only flaw of wiggle is that the default in a priority delivery which you always have to unselect. For any sports clothing etc I find this site amazing. So simple to return if it doesn't fit with their online returns - on a par with Amazon on that count.

Just remembered that I had a £5 wiggle code lying around, so used that and the total came to €23.65. Couldn't leave it behind for that money.

    Thanks OP.

Great price, we paid €75 plus delivery charge for a balance bike for our sons 2nd birthday.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,014 ✭✭✭Soarer

    Arrived this morning, thanks OP.

Edit: Just opened the box and they're after throwing in 3 packets of jellies for the kid too! Woohoo!

Nice one thanks OP! Was just researching these today and came across your post. Couldn't quite justify the € 100+ for other brands like Strider. Still 10+ in stock on Wiggle anyway if anyone else is looking.

For those who got one do ye think it would be too small for a 5 year old? .. He's just gone 5 and of average height I'd say ... Very tempted to get one

Looking for something like this, but reading the reviews and some comments about tyres being plastic (rather than rubber). How does the plastic wheels compare to rubber tyres - are they rigid, noisy and bumpy?
