was saying there last week how me and my dad had our best day by a mile with a bag of 151 birds for a famer that had a field of barley been hammered by crows and pigeons, anyway my father just happened to meet daid farmer on wed evening and was telling him the story and he was delighted with us, so much so he threw a 100 euro to us for cartridges!! happy days, funds us for another few days on the barley anyway!! you won't get much sounder than that, so going back out on it for him this sunday.

yeah its great, i know he had lads in the factory next to the field fire a few shots at the crows to try and keep them off the field but don't think they were too effective so i guess he was happy with some actual numbers.

was out again on the same permission yesterday morning, unfortunately it had been shot the previous day by another group of lads, who didn't didn't clean up after themselves and left their quarry lying in plain site at the edge of the dith in amongst all their empty shells, lads like this give us all a bad name, we rang the farmer to let him know it wasn't us anyway and he knew who it was so think their permission was revoked!
we said we'd set up anyway and just headed to the opposite end of the field, it was obvious from early on there was not half as many crows around but we still got mighty pigeon shooting, they were coming in steady enough all day and we ended up with a bag of 40 pigeons and 22 mixed corvids, great mornings shooting, were there for around 4 hours in total so can't complain, we had a bad spell of shooting in the middle where we missed a few pigeons other than that we'd of made the 50 easy but can't hit them all i suppose!!
