    Hi

I am getting married later this year and I have a slight issue with who to pick as my groomsman, personally I dont want one but I need to match up numbers with the bridesmaids. My longest known friend cant make it as his wife will be due two weeks after the wedding date and he lives down under so it leaves me with my second longest known mate who lives in europe, and is slightly unreliable and my first cousin who is the same age as me Ive known all my life but we would not be in contact alot throughout the years mainly at family functions and the odd occasion outside of that, but whenever we meet up we usually have a good old laugh....wrecking my head as who to pick. My brother is going to be my best man, and because I dont have a large number of mates it comes down to one mate and a relation....advise needed please.:D

The groomsmen and BM numbers don't have to match, I wouldn't be picking someone for the sake of it. Why not have just your best man and her the 2 BM??

got to agree there, I had my two brother as my groomsmen but she only had her sister as bridesmaid, was fine

Why do the numbers need to match? I don't think most wedding parties have even numbers. You don't need to have any groomsmen if you don't want. We had one bridesmaid and one best man, but if the was an issue with 'filling' the role we just wouldn't have bothered. No one will notice or care.

You don't need to match, but if she has a brother why not ask him?

Well tbh I would have thought the same and she would like to have matching wedding party, for the sake of it i will probably go with it just not sure who to pick thats my biggest dilema.

Tell her to choose one so, if she's the one who wants even numbers.
