You could drop the ssd and cpu cooler for now if you wanted to save €70. You could get this cheap ass case to save another €20 as well.

If you don't need windows you could ditch the windows and the dvd drive if you can install it from a usb stick saving €57.

Ditch the monitor if you have a 1080p one already or a 1080p tv.

The problem with making it a sticky is PC hardware changes so fast it would have to be updated every couple of months!

Great job Bloodbath. I suppose linking to them in signatures is the next best thing to stickes. They could be upgraded regularly by simply editing the posts.

7870 would be a smidge faster than a regular GTX 660. An overclocked GTX 660 probably beats it though. On the other hand, the 7870 could be overclocked while the 660 is probably at or near the maximum for overclocking. If you were to overclock the 7870 and reach the normally expected speeds, it's likely that you'd get the best performance out of that. On the other hand, nVidia can do things like PhysX, shutter 3D and other things if they're of interest to you.
