Right, an explanation. So for games, I've always been a PC guy. Like there's been consoles squatting in the house, and after the computer, the Xbox would probably be my go-to but the PC has always been my primary machine. For most of the people I know though, the opposite's been the case.

With next gen coming out I've been preaching the virtues of PC gaming, trying to convince my friends to convert rather than splashing the cash on the Xbox One/PS4.

My question is, can a PC be built that will be competitively priced vs a new console. Now I know it's not possible to build one for as low as the new consoles will be priced, but for in and around that margin, could you fine folks come up with a gaming orientated build?

What is your budget? [As near to the 'next gen' consoles as possible, 800 euro cap]

What will be the main purpose of the computer? [Gaming] (If gaming include which games: [Crysis 3, BF4, ArmA III, BF3 etc)

Do you need a copy of Windows? [Yes]

Can you use parts from an old computer? No.

Do you need a monitor? If the budget can stretch it, yes. If not, there's plenty of spares around.

-If yes, what size do you need. Resolution over size, so any as long as it supports 1920x1080.

Do you need any of these peripherals? [No]

Are you willing to try overclocking? [If it's feasible]

How can you pay? [Credit Card/Bank Transfer/Paypal]

    When are you purchasing? [October/November]

Again, this is more of a bit of fun/experiment really, so don't take it tooo seriously! I'm really interested to see what people can come up with!
