Apart from the obvious choice of Sami Zayn, I have to say I really hope WWE realise that Enzo Amore is one of the most original characters we've seen in a long time. He's like a coked-up lunatic villain from a hollywood movie, a loveable coward heel with delusions of grandeur. He's unbvelieveable on the mic,he can wrestle for real and his catchprases are awesome!

    SAAAAAWWWWWFTTTTTT!

    Joke answer:

    Bo

That way I won't have to look at him on NXT anymore.

    Real answer:
    Adrian Neville

    Paige, Ohno or Neville.

As for the ladies It would have to be Paige!. I love Emma but for some reason I dont think she'd work too well on the main roster.

Kassius Ohno would be my 3rd choice after generico and Enzo

I havnt seen too much of Adrian Neville to be honest but definately looking forward to seeing him and Ambrose.

Emma? Though she may get lost in the main roster.

Stated clearly as that it is an interesting question but I would go for Sami Zayn too. Most adaptable in ring and strong promo skills.

Big time Paige fan but if you look at her matches as a good as she is is still has a way to go. She needs a more polished presentation wise too there's still moments where she doesn't know how act, react, stand etc. Also I age with WWE's main roster age policy. Her main roster spot is pretty much assured so what's the rush?

Love his story and a long time fan but as he stands he'd just be a flashier Justin Gabriel. As ready as he is in ring he is dead in the water promo wise although his diction on promos has gotten better. Skills wise I would have him on the main roster in a heart beat but wise he could find a way to augment it with a marketable personality. Ultimately probably best in a tag team with someone who can mask that weakness.

In fairness Rovert only about 5 people are allowed talk and have promos in WWE :pac:

Ah no, I get your point I took this thread to be a in an ideal world rather than who is ready now type thread.

His tag team with Corey Garves could be a good way of introducing both guys to the main roster.

Her biggest detractors say she would be a one week joke - something I disagree with but I don't see it as a three year gimmick or anything.

You have to wonder what the upper tier expectation for Emma is either from WWE's or her own POV. She only a Diva not like she will be a headliner. If she is the new Jillian Hall then so be it. Apparently Hall left WWE with a fair chunk of change, all these experiences, saw the world, fulfilled a dream etc.

I'm a big fan of Xavier Woods, a really talented guy and as great an ambassador for wrestling as you can get.

Good shout, I don't remember seeing much of him on NXT, just in TNA.

I know it is an ideal world. These are just thoughts in my head. Neville is flashy enough to be do very well, trend on Twitter in first match and all that jazz. Evan Bourne got far enough with limited speaking ability. If not for his attitude and fondness for the waccy baccy he would have went way further. Although Neville doesn't have Evan's looks.

If was to put money on the next person to be called up it would be Woods. The Performance Center press conference pretty much said it! But on top of that fresh his knee surgery or not Kofi's new long tights looked similar to Xavier's so maybe a tag team?

He tweeted this too last week which looks a production video of some sort:

Haven't been blown away by his NXT matches but the dude is an obvious PR goldmine and the possible solution to WWE's reported need for an African American star.

That's just it. She's a diva so it's not like much is expected of them anyway. Like how many of the current diva roster has any kind of gimmick that's over and how many are there just to make up the numbers? I can see Emma getting over with kids.

Overall though, how many guys in NXT can match up to the likes of Cena and the like. It seems most of the guys in NXT are more Punk and Bryan size. And apart from those 2 and a few others, most of the current NXT roster look like the guys they would put in the midcard matches.

Oh I've also got a soft spot for Bayley too.

I second this. Charisma in spades. However, I've a feeling it will likely be Conor O'Briain or Leo Kreuger that'll come up next. Much as I'd hate to see it. Also, I think Bo has no place in the wresrling business whatsoever. Unimpressive in every way

Tyler Breeze but not with the gimmick he currently has. He'd be much more suited to a face role. I don't see a vain male model thing progressing as anything other than a walking punchline a la Santino or Simon Dean

I think Emma could make it on the main roster. A lot more Divas have some form of character development now - it's certainly better than it was three years ago. The Bellas, AJ, The Funkadactyls, Layla, Aksana, Natalya and Kaitlyn all have defined characters right now

Sami Zayn would be great to see on the main roster but they seriously need a Cruiserweight division again. There are way too many of the 'talented little guy who can do cool ****' wrestlers who pretty much have to wrestle on Superstars except when Money In The Bank rolls around and they need high flyers. Zayn would have the same problem as Tyson Kidd, Evan Bourne, Justin Gabriel, Hunico, Sin Cara and all the others. WWE give the midcard titles to whoever will be their future world champions so that's not an option

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 18,520 Mod ✭✭✭✭DM_7

A cruiser division would just be relegated to superstars anyway and the best guys from the cruiser division would end up wrestling in the heavyweight division.

As Rovert pointed out El Generico can talk, unlike the other lads listed above (excluding Hunico) so has a much better chance (also Bourne was going well before injury). WWE are doing a much better job of bringing people onto the main roster with a plan for them nowadays as well.

You just described Bret Hart there! :D

I would agree with what you said 100% though - put him on a live mike and he could get shown up big style!

I wouldn't have any confidence in a high-flier being booked well based on recent history.

Having said that, I do think Sami is the best candidate of the current bunch IF they had a plan for him (which I doubt).

I'd quite like to see Sasha be brought up to the main roster, but not as a wrestler yet. I reckon she could be a great manager for a tag team as I could see a lot of the younger audience really liking her. Putting her with someone like the Usos could really elevate them imo, similar to Lita being paired with the Hardys.

I want Bo Dallas back on the main roster

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 18,520 Mod ✭✭✭✭DM_7

I like Leo Kruger. Not sure anyone else does:P

He does the crazy man role well. Roster is new heel heavy though so maybe not best time for him.

Sadly that makes me think Mason Ryan will be next :o

    Just found this:

Dear DM-ICE I agree with you Leo Kruger is talented but I still prefer Bo Dallas. I would love to see the two of them face each other for the NXT CHAMPIONSHIP
