Haven't heard of such a box. More information required.

What box are you using now?

Saorview picture freezing can be down to several things, too much signal, too little signal, atmospheric/weather conditions, other external interference or your aerial installation.

Generally the box isn't the problem, it could be your aerial, the type of aerial, where it's located, where its pointing. It could be the cable, it could be old or damaged or water may have got in. It could be the cable connections to the aerial or the box. Is there an amplifier in the system. etc. etc etc.

Describe your setup, the more information we have the easier it may be to offer a solution.

all i know is it is a box costing about 20 euro. It is for someone who has an outdoor aeriel and their tv freezes. On the radio someone said there is a box that costs about 20 euro. Is it a booster for the aerial? i do not know any more and do not know what actual saorview box they have

An amplifier of some sort then, either a masthead amp or distribution amp.

The amplifier, located as close to the aerial as possible, boosts a weak received signal to compensate for further signal loss down the cable to the receiver's tuner. If the signal quality is bad when it arrives at the amplifier it won't make a bad signal good.

A higher gain aerial, of the correct group, properly aligned to the nearest transmitter and good quality downlead can eliminate the need for an amplifier.

Someone, such as an aerial installer, would have to determine where the problem lies.
