hi - a neighbour wanted the loan of my tractor. He was recently done for drink driving in his car and should be off the road. I refused because of this and he said no the ban only applies to motor cars. Does anyone know if this is correct?

You need a licence to drive any vehicle on a public road. If his licence was suspended as a result of drink driving then it would apply to all classes of vehicle including tractors.

If you are off the road you are off the road.

You did the right thing, fair play. No licence, no insurance. You would have been in big poo poo if anything happened.

He prob wanted it to go to the pub!!
