    Hi,
    which version of windows is it prudent to install on a gaming pc....win7 or win8.I have heard negative mumbling about 8 and privacy as well. I have windows 7 on a few pc`s and its fine........also is XP still supported.

    Windows 7 is good, as is 8 but some people dislike the drastic changes 8 brought. Your happy with Windows 7 so I would stick to that, unless you can get the 8 licenses considerably cheaper :) . Windows 8 is essentially Windows 7 with a new start menu, the OS itself is pretty similar, except 8 has more features and faster startup/shutdown times. XP should be out of the question these days as it's end of life next April, also many new games just don't support it these days
